Rue Dobson MBSCH

Rue was fascinated by psychology from a young age. He worked as a Sales Rep before and after gaining his diploma in psychology and philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University in 1992. His skills in psychology made him a very successful salesman, eventually becoming a trainer for the North West for a large company. In 1997 Rue progressed to owning his own company, but felt unfulfilled with his chosen career. In 1999 Rue decided to use his skills to help people in a more caring capacity. He went on to train in person centered counselling and then hypnotherapy, feeling fulfilled that at last he had found the right career.

Rue has worked as a counsellor in a voluntary capacity since 2003, working with the homeless and people with addiction problems. Since early 2005 he has been in high demand working in private practise as a professional person centred counsellor and hypnotherapist.

Rue is a member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

"I have been studying psychology and ‘talking related therapies’ for over seventeen years now and have diplomas in psychology, philosophy, person centred counselling and clinical hypnotherapy. I am a registered member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists. Personally, I am also a member of MENSA and believe my membership to the Dennis the Menace fan club is still intact. One of my goals for the near future is taking a PHD in floatation tank therapy. My favourite place in the world is Polis in Cyprus. I class myself as a people person and my ideal night out is sitting round a campfire with friends, singing songs and telling tall tales." Rue
